Carbon and the Climate Agenda on Timberlands – Blake Stansell, president of The Forestland Group, will discuss timber management and carbon credits in Appalachia. TFG and its landholdings were recently sold to Anew Climate whose leaders state that sustainable managed forests are a major climate mitigation tool with substantial benefits to local ecosystems and communities.
Business Sessions also include:
- Cabinet Market Prospective 2023 – Marsh Cabinets Chief Executive Officer Edwin Underwood will discuss cabinet markets in the U.S. The company is based in High Point, NC, and he is a former chairman of the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association.
- Real American Hardwood influence – RAH members will report on current actions with social media and consumer influencers in residential and commercial settings.
- USNR Expands Product Offerings – Industry supplier USNR has east coast operations in nearby Jacksonville, FL, and will explain acquisitions in 2022 that have increased its business. Tours of the facility are available Wednesday and Thursday.
- AHMI Annual Meeting & Member Anniversaries – Chairman Tom Sheets will present the State of the Association and member anniversaries.
Separate sessions for Producer & Distributor Divisions to meet and discuss issues of importance to their sectors.

FUN!! There are several activities planned daily. The Annual Golf Tournament is Friday at PVI’s Ocean Course. The Annual Fishing Tournament is Friday with sportfishing from chartered boats. There is a Golf Scramble Saturday on PVI’s Ocean Course.
NEW THIS YEAR!! The inaugural AHMI Croquet Tournament on Saturday at the PVI Croquet Court.
AHMI’s block of rooms is all oceanfront, just steps away from the beach, close to dining, and minutes away from the sessions and golf.
Car service is available from Jacksonville Airport to the Ponte Verda Inn. Please call (904) 285-1111 and ask for the bell stand. The vehicle can transport up to three passengers and luggage. The fee is $105 each way.
